Project managed works

We are pleased to announce a new service.

In 2010, we spent a lot of time training our staff and broadening skills. We implemented a new approach to customer service and this has had great results.

During 2011 we started to look at additional services we could offer.

Speaking to our customers, we realised that a simplified service combining project management and building services would be appealing.

We ran several project managed schemes and have been delighted with the outcome. By working with our customers from concept to completion we have delivered a top class service that pleased each client and has enhanced our reputation for quality building services.

So, we are now launching this as a new service to all our customers. It is aimed at anyone with a short term project that they need to be managed but do not have the time to devote to it. This might be following insured damage (where insurers have agreed a cash payment), making improvements ready for a property sale or modernising a home before moving in.

Whatever the project, we will assume control helping you to agree the work that is needed, managing the trades and suppliers, and ensuring it is delivered on time and within an agreed budget.

Edward Thackray:

"I see this as a genuine and invaluable addition to the services we can offer.

Our aim is to eliminate the stress of managing a building project so that our customers can concentrate on the finished product and not have to worry about how it is achieved. The feedback we have had so far has been excellent and I believe this is a solution that will be warmly welcomed".

A hectic period

With a sustained cold period through the winter, it has been a busy six months for us.
Over the winter, our insurance clients received a huge number of burst pipe claims and we have been dealing with many flooded homes and properties as a result.

Changes in our business in 2011, notably the forming of a customer service and project management team, have helped us to cope with the volume and variety of work and we are delighted with the results. Despite work from insurers increasing by more than 50% we responded to each emergency and enabled each property to be dried out. We completed stripping out work within a few days of each incident and are now completing the building work.

Feedback from customers has been excellent and this is leading to new projects too. Approaching the half-year point, we are delighted with our progress and despite challenging times are looking forward with confidence.
“Some difficult decisions have been taken in the past 12 months but I am delighted with the new standards we are setting. This quality of service is vindicated by the many positive responses I have received from customers in recent times.”
